SYNOPSIS – October 31, 2023 will mark the 30th anniversary of the death of Federico Fellini, the world-famous filmmaker. He was one of the most awarded directors in the history of cinema, and one of the determinedly irreverent. His works always attracted scandal upon their release. Using exclusive interviews filmed by director Jean-Christophe Rosé from when Fellini was at the height of his art, but also excerpts from his films, photographs of him working, his books and correspondence, this film will tell the life of the Maestro from his birth in 1920 to his death in 1993. It will offer an intimate first-person account in which he gives us the keys to his art, his personal impressions, his dreams, his obsessions, and his memories. But it is also a journey through the history of Italy and cinema during the 20th century, a critical reflection of our contemporary world, and a uniquely powerful satire of society.
